“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.” — Marcus Aurelius.

A door slam wakes up a client of a small-town guest house in the middle of the night. Trying not to give himself away, he starts moving stealthily around the rooms in search of the one who woke him. But his journey turns into a mystic quest.

Throughout our travels, we will encounter many challenges ‘couse life is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, tragedies, heartaches, joys, celebrations and special moments.

The independent filmmaker  Evgeny Vedrov, was inspired to create the film by Rene Magritte’s painting “The Son of Man”. Namely the idea of the painting – in fact, we are not what we want to appear to others. About the painting, Magritte said: ’’Everything we see hides another thing, we always want to see what is hidden by what we see. There is an interest in that which is hidden and which the visible does not show us. This interest can take the form of a quite intense feeling, a sort of conflict, one might say, between the visible that is hidden and the visible that is present.’’

The title of the film was deliberately changed from “The Son of Man” to “Son of a human being”, as the author wanted to avoid associations of the main character of the film with the son of God or any other Christian idea.

We all see, feel, smell and hear things differently. Our perception of what is “real” is based not on what something actually is, but what we say it is.

People can only dream about things they have encountered or thought about, and so their dreams consist not of reality — whatever that is — but is instead a version filtered through the lens of the dreamer’s experiences.

Have you ever been so terrified by a dream that you woke up in a panic? It’s normal. Nightmares are intermittent, or persistent recurring dreams that become so frightening they actually awaken the sleeper.

The main character of the film will be your guide through his sleeping journey.

Not recommended if you have heart diseases.
