It’s the rhetorical questions that push and push the hardest. To know who we are is something we should discover early in life.
There are so many ideas we subconsciously adopt about ourselves, it’s hard to find out the truth. We confuse who we are for who our parents are, who others expect us to be, the roles we play for the different people in our lives, the people we were five years ago, the people we never got to be, and the people we are in comparison to others immediately around us.
Each and everyone of us is trying to find an answer to the most important question: “Who am I?” And sometimes the answers lead us to the darkest places of our souls.
Emotion is the most important part of the movie that causes a certain dissonance in the audience’s mind.
The main character is having a dialog with the director and the images give you the feeling that he’s being seduced by some psychologist. The orange light on his face underlines the worlds inside, his fears and disappointments.
When your base understanding of who you are is rooted in someone else’s truth, your inner struggle becomes whether or not you behave according to what’s expected of you, rather than what’s true of who you really are.
The director inserts a feminine character also, which is hunting the mind of the main actor end eventually her touch makes him enter the self-awareness game.
Making our world significant is an everyday struggle, and that’s reflected also in the frames that include photos of random parts of character’s life.
The video is very emotional and like a wake up call makes you start searching the manual to map your mind.
